MONDAY-

Students completed a group discussion over act 3 and completed a quiz over act 3. Students also received act 4 vocab:

Students need to find the definitions and study vocab, and also begin reading act 4 for class on Thursday.

FRIDAY-

Students completed skills challenge #12- Indefinite Pronouns at the beginning of class.

Students continued reading and acting out act III (if they were not finished) and worked on the annotation and one-pager assignment. Act III quiz and discussion is on Monday. Vocab (just definitions) and discussion prep (3 questions with possible answers) is due on Monday as well as the annotation and one-pager assignment:

TUESDAY-

The first part of class students discussed act II in small groups and turned in their discussion prep and vocab.

The second part of class students completed the act II quiz.

No homework.

FRIDAY-

Today students finished reading act 2 and then we discussed the end of the act as a class.

Students then had time to work on their vocab and prep for the discussion that will be happening Tuesday.

Vocab homework (due Tuesday):

-Define all vocab words

-Write 5 defining sentences for your choice of 5 words

Discussion prep homework (due Tuesday- discussion first part of class on Tuesday):

-5 questions

-5 analyzed quotes (speaker and importance)

-Constructed response (what and why) of Hamlet’s 2nd soliloquy (starts on page 117)

THURSDAY-

Today students completed skills challenge #10- transnational phrases.

Then students act out act II as a class and we discussed what was happening as we read. Both classes stopped on page 97 and had time to find definitions for act 2 vocab.

Homework: Students need to be through Act II by Tuesday however we should finish reading in class tomorrow, and will have time to prep for the discussion on Tuesday. Also, they need to define all vocab for act 2 and then choose 5 words and write defining sentences for those words.

Students participated in a class discussion over Act I (they will be a trended speaking and listening grade) and turned in their prep which was the quotes and questions sheet. Then they took a quiz over act I and act I vocab.
